The Bears Of Central Florida – About Us

The Bears of Central Florida (BOCF) is a 501(c)4 non-profit social welfare organization dedicated to the fellowship and brotherhood of Bears and their admirers.  The BOCF has been serving the Central Florida Community since 1989.  One of our main goals is to support Central Florida Charities by raising money through various events such as Bear Bust.  We are located in Orlando, Florida, and though most of our members live in Central Florida, our membership has individuals from all around the World!

What we do!

Monthly events include our scheduled meetings, afternoon excursions, weekend Bear Runs, Bears Night Out, dining at local restaurants and seeing new release movies. We hold several functions throughout the year, including F.U.R. Weekend, our anniversary weekend blow-out, and the Christmas party. In addition to our social gatherings, the BOCF is involved in fund-raising activities for local Orlando charities.

We are perhaps most noted for our annual international celebration of fun, food and fur, Bear Bust®! Held each year during the third weekend of October, Bear Bust® has become one of the world’s largest and best known events of it’s kind. Plans are in the works for Bear Bust® 2010 and initial information has been posted on the Bear Bust® 2010 website.

Where we meet!

The BOCF has it’s General Membership meeting on the second Sunday of each month.  The Location and time will be announced on our website.

How to join the Bears Of Central Florida

Membership in the BOCF is open to all persons interested in fostering goodwill and brotherhood amongst Bears and their admirers. All Club membership dues are $30 annually, and are now good for one year from date of payment.
